Wearing Glasses That You Don’t Need

Have you ever asked anyone to try on their glasses and you didn’t see a change? That’s because there are more and more people wearing non-prescription glasses these days. They tend to be more colorful and rectangle in shape in comparison to the prescribed ones. You can find them pretty much anywhere, and they’re cheap. Buy a couple and make sure you have an outfit to go with the colors on the frame. The question remaining is ‘why wear glasses if you don’t need them?’. Simply because that is the fashion accessory for now!

Pencil Skirts

Formal and sophisticated has been a popular trend for the past couple of days. Pencil skirts look good with a nice dress shirt or blouse. Finish it off with a pair of high heels and you are set for the day. The only problem is that the tightness of these skirts may come in conflict with the school dress code. But as long as the skirt is long enough, a dollar length away from your knee, you can most likely get away with it. It’s a very nice, classy look when you feel like taking the time to dress yourself up. Just make sure it’s not too cold outside!

Winter Clothes

Lately, the nights and early mornings have been getting cooler. There has even been a few incidents with flurries spotted. With that being said, thick jackets, gloves, hats, scarves, and boots are being worn. It seems that North Face jackets are one of the most popular companies. Students have bought them for around a hundred dollars. Also, as I have mentioned in previous blogs, many different kinds of boots are being designed. The newest kinds are military boots with a high heel on them. Very cute! Now that the winter season seems to be approaching, winter fashion will be around the school more than ever.

Boots Anywhere and Everywhere

Look anywhere in the school and you’ll see most of the student population wearing boots. Whether it’s furry boots, boots with heels, short boots, tall boots, or those boots with the little furry balls hanging down, everybody has at least one pair of boots. If not, you’re not in the fashion trend for the winter season of 2011. They’re everywhere you go. They are most popular with skinny jeans. This is because it’s hard to stuff a pair of flares in them. So go out and buy a new pair of boots!

Warm Winter Weather Affects Fashion Industries?

It is the beginning of December and yet it feels like the spring time outside right now.It is either Earth dcided to skip winter this year, or we are going to have a very late season. People are still wearing dresses, shot sleeves, leggings, and light jakets.I recently took a trip to the mall, and there are still heavy jackets sitting on the racks. No one feels the need to buy them when the weather is not appropiate for that type of apparel. Will the abnormal weather affect fashion industries? Will winter apparel not sell while spring apparel soar in business? We’ll see as the year goes on!

Leggings Coming Back?

As you might remember, leggings became popular a long time ago. After awhile, people starting wearing them out. Now, it seems that they are the new trend once again. I see people wearing them with the long shirts/short dresses on a daily basis now. Unfortunately for some, they have to change before the end of the school day. Leggings are not jeans, therefore the same “dollar bill rule” applies. The dollar bill rule states no dress can be shorter than the length of a dollar bill from the middle of your knee up.So leggings are coming back, but they come with restrictions, atleast in school.

Leather Jackets are In!

Black leather, brown leather, grey leather, and even red leather! Leather is the new style of jackets these days. It started off with black and brown. But now there are all types of colors seen around. Black leather jackets seem to be the most popular trend. The good thing is the material keeps you warm and fashionable at the same time. It’s hard to find multi-beneficial clothing these days. It usually either uncomfortable yet stylish, or not stylish yet comfortable. Eventually, the winter will be too cold to wear them; but for now, leather jackets are in!
